Chrysalis-An Alberta Society for Citizens with Disabilities

Chrysalis is an organization that was established in 1968 to provide equal opportunities for adults with disabilities to contribute to their communities. Initially focused on training individuals with developmental disabilities to produce manufactured goods, Chrysalis has evolved to offer personalized services such as training, vocational skill development, employment assistance, volunteer opportunities, and improved quality of life. With locations in Edmonton and Calgary, Chrysalis aims to assist individuals with disabilities in achieving their employment, volunteer, and recreation goals. The organization's mission is to ensure that people with disabilities are accepted and included in society, with the same rights and privileges as all citizens. Chrysalis operates based on the principles of change, growth, and opportunity, offering tailored services designed to meet individual needs and promote community inclusion. Using Human Centered Design as a service delivery model, Chrysalis creates programs and services based on the unique needs and goals of each individual.
