Back Door Mission

The Back Door Ministry is a unique social service organization in Durham region that aims to meet the needs of individuals or connect them with the appropriate resources. We provide meal tickets to feed the poor and homeless in Oshawa, offer a safe drop-in center for refreshments and socializing, provide referrals to various social service and healthcare agencies, offer advocacy support for negotiations with landlords and government agencies, and participate in community development initiatives related to homelessness. Our goal is to alleviate poverty and social dislocation among the economically deprived and street population of Oshawa.
