Zelda's is a popular restaurant and entertainment venue located on Yonge Street. Originally opened in 1981 as the Living Well Cafe, it enjoyed a successful 25-year run. Zelda Angelfire, a beloved character, was born at the Living Well in the early 90's. In 1997, Zelda opened her own "Trailer Park Diner" on Church Street, where it thrived for 12 years. The location became a hub for various events, including Drag Idol, Chocolate Pudding Drag Queen Wrestling, Pride Toronto, fundraisers, and weekly drag shows. Unfortunately, due to rising rent, Zelda was forced to leave Church Street. However, the opportunity to return to the original Living Well Cafe location arose, and Zelda and her team happily moved back. The new location offers great food, a lively atmosphere, and a unique dining experience with drag shows every Friday and Saturday night. Reservations are highly recommended, and guests can enjoy signature dishes like the Bobbin on Bayou Chicken and the California Dreamin Dee-light Sandwich. Additionally, the restaurant hosts zany Saturday night themes, making it feel like Halloween every week.
