The Ryerson University Middle East and North Africa (MENA) Studies Centre is a research and teaching center focused on the culture, history, literature, politics, and societies of the Middle East and North Africa. It also examines the diasporic populations from the MENA region in North America and Europe. With the region being strategically important and experiencing political and religious debates and conflicts, the center aims to provide critical insights and understanding. Furthermore, there has been a significant migration of MENA peoples to Toronto and North America in recent decades.
