Executive Summary: WeCare Canada's vision is to provide sustainable social services to the people of Calgary by adopting a broader community approach. Our mission is to meet critical life necessities and offer support through the effective distribution of community resources, with a focus on connecting individuals determined to end poverty. We have a simple three-step process to assist individuals in both the short and long term. Firstly, we conduct an assessment of eligibility and needs through our helpline. Secondly, we provide immediate emergency aid available 24/7, as well as short-term assistance within 3-5 days and long-term support through regular visits. Lastly, we strive for sustainability by helping individuals access government support, employment opportunities, training and skills development, legal/medical assistance, social support, and long-term placement. By connecting immediate human needs with individuals committed to ending poverty and social crises, WeCare Canada aims to address the desperate needs within our communities. We encourage individuals to contribute to their local Zakat fund to support our mission.
