Unleashed K9 Performance is a dog training business founded by Lisa Frederick-Leyland and Mike Leyland. Lisa has a background in psychology and incorporates her knowledge of animal behavior and learning theories into her training methods. She has titled 9 different dogs and earned a total of 44 performance titles in sports such as Schutzhund, CKC obedience, and tracking. Mike Leyland has been competing in CKC obedience since the 1980s and is experienced in Schutzhund. He has raised, trained, and titled multiple dogs, including a Canadian National Siegerin. He has also been involved in search and rescue work and TV appearances with his trained dogs. Unleashed K9 Performance offers dog obedience training for family companions, competition obedience, tracking, puppy socialization, and behavioral consultations. They have a beautiful indoor training facility located centrally between Barrie and Orillia areas. Their training methods focus on motivation and positive results.
