Toronto Tool Library

The Toronto Tool Library is a community space that allows people to share tools instead of owning them. This provides access to tools for those who cannot afford or prefer not to buy expensive tools. It benefits new immigrants, small businesses, and community groups. Sharing tools reduces consumption, increases community skills, and reduces clutter in homes. The Tool Library is a partnership between the Institute for a Resource-Based Economy (IRBE) and the Parkdale Activity-Recreation Centre (PARC). PARC is a community center that serves meals, provides housing, and offers various programs. IRBE promotes sustainable economics and resource-sharing projects. The Tool Library aims to grow a sharing economy in Toronto.
