The Maritimes Energy Association

The Maritimes Energy Association is an independent, not-for-profit industry organization that represents Eastern Canada's energy industry. It was formerly known as OTANS and re-branded in 2011 to reflect its expanding role in the energy sector. Since its establishment in 1982, the Association has grown from a dozen to over 300 member organizations throughout Atlantic Canada. The Association's main objectives are to identify, promote, and support businesses that provide goods and services to the energy industry in Eastern Canada, including both offshore and onshore, renewable and non-renewable sectors, and domestic and export markets. The majority of the Association's membership consists of local businesses that contribute to the energy sector.
