The Lingnan

The Lingnan Restaurant, established in 1947, is the oldest Chinese restaurant in Edmonton, Alberta. Originally located on the corner of 97 street and Jasper Avenue, the restaurant expanded and moved to its current location in 1963. With a loyal clientele, The Lingnan is known for its excellent food, ambiance, and service. Many staff members have been with the restaurant for over 30 years, and owner Kinman Quon, who started working at The Lingnan at 17, continues to run the restaurant with his family. Eldest son Miles has recently joined the family business full time. The Lingnan offers fine Cantonese and Szechuen cuisine, with two main dining areas and a large banquet room for special occasions. Additionally, they provide a city-wide free delivery service. The Quon family also owns and operates The Lingnan Express in St. Albert and Chicken For Lunch in downtown Edmonton. The Lingnan is proud to have kept the business within the same family for over 60 years and remains dedicated to serving their loyal clientele.
