The Duke of York is a historical landmark in the East End of Toronto that has been a part of the Leslieville landscape since 1870. Originally known as The Morin House Tavern, it was a restaurant and pub with an Inn on the second floor. The building was renamed The Duke in 1912, after Prince Edward - Duke of York & Albany. Today, The Duke combines its historical significance with the new sounds of Rock'n'Roll, showcasing Toronto's best live original bands and covers. It is known as the East End's best kept secret. The venue offers open pool tables daily, karaoke on Wednesday and Thursday nights, and Saturday afternoons, and a DJ on most Friday nights. Additionally, there are live entertainment and events on Saturday nights, which can be checked on their website and events page. The Duke is an unpretentious bar with live rock music and offers patio dining and a global bar-food menu.
