The Student For Barrier Free Access (SBA) is a student-run organization at the University of Toronto that focuses on advocating for equity, access, and the rights of students with disabilities. SBA aims to eliminate physical, informational, and attitudinal barriers on campus through non-academic programs that raise awareness. These programs include workshops, events, and socials such as American Sign Language (ASL) classes, Accessible Event Planning workshops, pub nights, and holiday celebrations. SBA welcomes and encourages all students, faculty, and allies to get involved, participate in events, and help promote a barrier-free society. As a disability justice organization, SBA is led by disabled and mad identified students who work towards removing barriers to accessing post-secondary education.
