Start Proud

Start Proud, formerly known as Out On Bay Street, is a national non-profit organization that focuses on providing career and professional development support to LGBTQ students in Canada. Our mission is to build a national network of like-minded professionals and promote a diverse and inclusive workplace culture. We aim to raise awareness of the contributions of the LGBTQA community in organizations, provide a platform for students to interact with professionals, and foster mentorship opportunities. Since our establishment in 2007, we have grown from a sole conference organized by MBA students into a comprehensive organization offering various initiatives such as conferences, competitions, awards, scholarships, and networking events. Our goal is to provide effective opportunities and resources for future LGBTQ leaders.
