Saskatchewan Guild

The Saskatchewan Writers' Guild (SWG) was established in 1969 and officially incorporated in 1971. It began with 75 members and has since grown to over 600 members. The SWG's vision is to create an environment where writers and all forms of writing can flourish. Their mission is to support writers, raise public awareness of the value of Saskatchewan writers' work, advocate for writers' economic status, foster a sense of community among writers, promote excellence in writing, and make writers and their work accessible to the public. Additionally, the SWG aims to make writing and literature accessible at all levels of education.
