Ryukyu Karate Centre

Ryukyu Karate Centre, led by Sensei Carl Wheeler, is a reputable martial arts school located in Dundas, Canada. With over 45 years of training experience, Sensei Wheeler began his journey in Coventry, England in 1973 and has been teaching in Dundas since 1988. The center specializes in Meibukan Gojyu-Ryu Karate, a traditional style originating from Okinawa, Japan. The school is affiliated with the International Meibukan Gojyu-Ryu Karate-do Association, headed by Master Meitatsu Yagi, a 10th Degree Black Belt. Students at Ryukyu Karate Centre have the opportunity to train with Master Yagi both in Canada and in Okinawa. The school offers safe and non-contact self-defense classes for both children and adults, providing an authentic and enriching experience in the heart of downtown Dundas.
