POV 3rd street

POV 3rd Street is a charity that trains, supports, and connects marginalized youth who are passionate about the film and media industry. We offer three programs: the Filmmaking Program, the Internship Program, and the Alumni Working Group. The Filmmaking Program provides comprehensive training in all aspects of filmmaking over 20 weeks. Graduates who demonstrate commitment and professionalism can apply for unpaid internships to gain industry experience. The Alumni Working Group allows graduates to develop their own projects with support from peers and mentors. Our goal is to help at-risk youth break into the industry by providing training, mentorship, and work opportunities. We offer free programs and collaborate with industry professionals to meet our mission. Our flagship program is the 6-month Media Training Program, which provides technical skills training and exposure to the media industry. We also focus on critical thinking and soft skills development to prepare youth for successful careers in the creative and media economy.
