Pause4Change Rescue Foundation

Pause4Change Rescue Foundation is a dedicated group of volunteers who have been working within Alberta Animal Rescues for years. They have recognized the negative impact of dog overpopulation on the community and the environment, as well as its potential psychological effects on children and connection to violent offenses. With an estimated 400 million stray dogs worldwide, accounting for 75% of the global dog population, Pause4Change believes that local actions such as regular vaccinations and spaying/neutering can make a significant difference in preventing aggression, disease transmission, and animal suffering. The foundation is committed to sharing their passion, resources, knowledge, and experience to bring about this change, but they need support from the community. Pause4Change aims to go beyond short-term solutions and work collaboratively within the community to develop a sustainable social infrastructure for animal control. Founded in 2012, the foundation promotes responsible pet ownership and hopes to empower individuals to become change agents and drive sustainable practices within their communities. Pause4Change operates solely through volunteers and relies heavily on support from others.
