Operation Eyesight Universal

Operation Eyesight Universal is an international development organization that aims to eliminate avoidable blindness in developing countries. We work in partnership with medical professionals and community development teams to build essential resources and provide comprehensive eye care to all people, regardless of means or gender. Our focus on sustainable service ensures long-lasting results for entire communities. With the support of private donations and public funding, we have already helped over 35 million people regain their sight. Currently, we operate in Southeast Asia and Africa, where blindness can be particularly deadly for vulnerable populations. Our organization was founded in 1963 by Art Jenkyns, a businessman from Calgary, Canada, who was inspired by Dr. Ben Gullison's mission work in India.
