Niagara Recycling is a non-profit social enterprise that is locally owned and operated. The proceeds from recycling activities support the Niagara Training & Employment Agency (NTEC), which helps individuals with developmental disabilities to fully participate in community life. NTEC offers training and employment experience programs to provide real-life opportunities and community integration for its participants. Niagara Recycling accepts items for recycling free of charge and accepts payments for containers using cash, Interac, VISA, and Mastercard. It is important to ensure that all loads are secure when entering the recycling sites and to stop at the scales and sort items beforehand for easy unloading. The recycling container pick-up location is at 4935 Kent Ave, with access from Montrose Rd at Morrison St. or Industrial St.
