Manor Road Co-Op Nursery School Inc, also known as MRNS, was established in 1935 by the Junior League as an outdoor play group for children. Two years later, the school was taken over by parents and became the first co-operative nursery school in Canada. Since then, MRNS has remained the oldest co-operative nursery school in the same location, which is the Church of the Transfiguration. Our primary goal is to provide a nurturing environment that fosters self-esteem and trust for children. Teachers and parents work together to stimulate the physical, social, emotional, and intellectual growth of each child. MRNS is proud to be Toronto's longest running co-operative nursery school.
