Lethbridge Community Network

Lethbridge Community Network (LCN) is a private not-for-profit organization that has been providing public access to information and technology since 2003. LCN maintains a network of over 40 public access computers in the community and offers basic computer skills training. They also refurbish computers for resale as an Authorized Microsoft Corp. refurbisher, providing employment and practicum opportunities to local youth in technology. LCN generates operating income by offering computer tech support and web development services for a fee. They are currently working on implementing a permanent recycling and reusing service for computers through EcycleDrive.com. Additionally, LCN is developing a strategy to provide free public Wi-Fi and affordable, subsidized internet to low-income families and individuals in the community.
