Labrecque Plancher & Décor

Labrecque Plancher & Décor, formerly known as Couvre-Plancher Labrecque Inc., was founded in 1960 by Mr. André Labrecque. Starting out in his van, Mr. Labrecque would visit clients with samples of carpets and linoleum. He handled both sales and installation at the time. The Labrecque family, based in Quebec, relied on word-of-mouth to grow their business. The expertise of their advisors and their professional work generated a reputation for quality. Originally named André Labrecque Tuiles Tapis, the company changed its name to Couvre-Plancher Labrecque Inc. in 1963. The business moved to different locations over the years to accommodate its growth. In 1986, the Labrecque family bought a building and changed the name to Super Marché du Couvre-Plancher André Labrecque to align with the trend of large American supermarkets. In 1990, the name changed again to Couvre-Plancher André Labrecque Inc., accompanied by a new logo featuring trendy colors of the time. In 1994, Michel, Pierre, and Sylvie Labrecque purchased the company from their father and implemented a new management mentality and branding. In 2007, the company expanded by acquiring additional buildings on St-Vallier West Street. Over the years, the company has embraced new ideas from employees, shareholders, and the younger Labrecque generation to refresh its image. The name was shortened to Labrecque Plancher & Décor, while retaining the recognizable oval logo with modified text for clarity. Labrecque Plancher & Décor is a family-owned business with a strong reputation in the flooring industry since 1960.
