La Cascina Ristorante was a successful Italian restaurant in Manoppello, Abruzzo, Italy, before expanding to Woodbridge, Ontario and later Toronto. The restaurant aimed to provide an authentic Abruzzese dining experience based on the concept of Agriturismo, with a menu that changed daily to offer fresh and diverse Italian cuisine. La Cascina Ristorante played a significant role in introducing authentic Central Italian dining to Toronto and closed its doors in 2017. However, the journey continues as the restaurant plans to return to Abruzzo. La Cascina Ristorante is known as the first authentic Abruzzo-centric restaurant in Toronto, offering rustic Italian dishes made with locally sourced ingredients and a selection of housemade pasta and wine.
