Jerch Law is a law firm dedicated to serving First Nations and Indigenous governments and peoples. We specialize in Aboriginal rights and Treaties, environmental law, economic development, historic claims, and self-government. Our experienced team has represented First Nations at all levels of Court in Manitoba, the Federal Court, and the Supreme Court of Canada. Our clients trust us to provide strategic advice and representation to help them achieve their goals of improving their Nations and communities. We handle litigation related to Aboriginal and Treaty rights, Indian Act issues, and provide guidance on Treaty rights. We also draft and advise on First Nations laws and self-government, natural resources issues, historical claims, economic development projects, and corporate and commercial matters. Additionally, we offer advice on service delivery arrangements and institutions for self-government, draft laws for First Nations, and represent former students of residential schools. At Jerch Law, we are passionate about assisting our clients with legal strategies for both large and small matters. Our team consists of five lawyers, including Michael Jerch and Sharon Mason, who is currently on leave as the elected Chief of Wasagamack First Nation.
