Jakes Café

Jake's Café is a newly reopened community business located in the Student Mall at Vanier College. After 15 years of absence, Jake's is back and is now being run as a Co-operative. With the help of various organizations, including VCSA, Coopsco, Développement Économique Saint-Laurent, and Vanier College, Jake's Café aims to not only serve the community but also involve the community in its decision-making process. By becoming a member, for a cost of $10, you can enjoy benefits such as discounted coffee, promotions, and a lifetime of contributing to community building and Vanier College. The first Annual General Assembly will be held in November, providing members with an opportunity to participate in the decisional structure of the Co-operative. The Café Manager is Gabrial Guinez Richer, and the Co-op Board of Directors consists of Monique Magnan, Chelsea McVetty, Andrew Gates, Maggie Kathwaroon, Christine Legault, Nhat Pham, Andrew Liberio, Omar Riaz, Majed Abou Alkhir, and Richard Dugas. Jake's Café is proud to be a student Co-op cafe at Vanier College.
