The Innisfail Historical Village is one of the largest museums in Central Alberta, offering a range of family-friendly venues, events, and beautiful gardens. Established in 1970, its main objective is to preserve and showcase the history of the Innisfail district. The Village consists of eighteen buildings spread across 2 acres of land, all furnished to depict the area's history until the 1930s. Visitors can explore over 15,000 artifacts, vehicles, and farm machines, as well as enjoy a day-use picnic area and an old-fashioned ice cream parlour. While the Village is open for tours seasonally from May to September, it also hosts events during the winter months. Additionally, the Tea Room and History room are available for rent throughout the year, making them ideal spaces for meetings, special events, and family gatherings.
