The Homalco Indian Band's Facebook page, established in 2010, features photos owned by Todd Peacey, an employee of the band. The Homalco First Nation, also known as the "People of fast running waters," has a strong desire to succeed and create a positive future for all its members. Originally situated at Look-out point in the 1700s/1800s, the community later moved to the "Aupe" area and then to the "Church-House" area from the early 1900s to the early 1980s. The Church-House area provided shelter from the North and South wind and abundant fishing opportunities, proving to be highly advantageous for the Homalco people.
