Goethe-Institut Toronto

The Goethe-Institut Toronto has been promoting cultural exchange and dialogue between Canadian and German artists and experts for over 50 years. As the cultural institution of the Federal Republic of Germany, we aim to present German culture abroad and shape a current understanding of Germany today. We face the challenges of globalization and strive to develop innovative concepts for a more human world through mutual understanding and appreciation of cultural diversity. We offer German language education, provide information on German culture, society, and politics, and serve as a meeting point for those interested in contemporary German art and culture. With 50 years of experience in teaching German and fostering cultural cooperation, we bring the best of contemporary German arts, film, theatre, and ideas to Toronto in exchange with Canadians.
