Girls20 is an organization that aims to empower girls and women globally by promoting their economic and political participation. Their vision is to create a world where girls and women have equal opportunities to contribute to the economic growth and social innovations of their countries. They believe that increasing access to quality education, employment, and resources is essential for sustainable economic development and long-term prosperity. Girls20 works in partnership with individuals, foundations, nonprofits, governments, and the private sector to economically empower girls and women and make them agents of economic development. They were launched in 2009 at the Clinton Global Initiative and offer programs such as the Global Summit and Girls on Boards to invest in young women through education, training, networking, and access to opportunities.
