FTQ

The Fédération des travailleurs et travailleuses du Québec (FTQ) aims to promote the professional interests of its members and work towards the social, economic, cultural, and political advancement of workers in Quebec. The FTQ practices a form of unionism that embraces the unique characteristics of Quebec and the aspirations of Quebec workers. It encourages its members to participate in all forms of political life and ensures a strong presence of workers in decision-making processes. The FTQ's Facebook page has a code of ethics that promotes democratic discussion and respectful opinions, while prohibiting racist, sexist, and offensive comments. The FTQ is committed to publishing information in accordance with its statutes and regulations and will not publish information that contradicts resolutions adopted within its organization. The FTQ is launching a campaign to secure and increase retirement incomes for all workers, as the current public retirement income sources are insufficient. The FTQ emphasizes the need to improve the retirement income security system and calls for the involvement of individuals to bring about change. The FTQ is the largest labor federation in Quebec with over 600,000 members.
