Derek Hoffman, producer, songwriter, and engineer, focuses on musicality, personality, and originality in every recording he works on. He aims to make people proud of their art by keeping performances as musical, emotional, and unique as possible. Hoffman has been involved in the record-making process since high school and has worked with various musicians and bands in his area. Influenced by producers and engineers like Eric Valentine, Chris Lord-Alge, and Machine, he has developed his own approach to music production while still keeping the artist's intent intact. Hoffman's analytic approach translates well across genres, including metal, punk, rock, and pop. He believes that pop music can benefit from an extra creative edge to stand out from the crowd. One of the things that excites him about music is the process of building a song from scratch. He aims to create records that not only excite him as a creator but also as a fan.
