Elements Calgary Mental Health Centre

Elements Calgary Mental Health Centre is a multifaceted agency that offers client-centered programs to individuals challenged with mental illnesses. With a team of 23 staff members, we provide confidential and non-judgmental support to over 1,200 Calgarians annually. Our programs aim to improve skills, enhance capabilities, and reduce reliance on expensive hospital or emergency services. We offer a safe place for individuals to find companionship and friends, as well as recreation opportunities they might not have access to otherwise. Our approach focuses on understanding mental illness and providing learning and recreational opportunities in a climate of acceptance and hope. By helping clients rebuild their self-esteem and introducing new skills, we reduce the burden on families, friends, and employers, while also preventing relapse and costly hospitalization. We rely on the support of volunteers, with 100 volunteers contributing over 10,000 hours of service each year. Elements Calgary Mental Health Centre provides crisis intervention, support counselling, skill development, and social recreational programs 365 days a year, 7 days a week to men and women diagnosed with mental illness in our community.
