The Do It Yourself Doula™ Childbirth Education Classes aim to provide comprehensive education and support for couples and a third person during the labor and birthing process. This course combines the Lamaze philosophy with the gentle approach of doula work, focusing on the comfort and well-being of the birthing mother. Participants will gain confidence in their ability to navigate the challenges of childbirth and be prepared for any unexpected events. The course covers topics such as natural and medical labor options, coping with epidurals, and making C-sections more mother and baby centered. It also includes breastfeeding support, labor comfort measures, and preparation for bringing the baby home. While this course does not replace the need for a trained doula, it offers an alternative for those who cannot afford or choose not to hire one. The course emphasizes the importance of having a supportive third person present during birth and aims to empower women to trust in their body's ability to give birth in their preferred way.
