Business Description
De Mello Palheta Coffee Roasters is a specialty coffee roaster and cafe located in Toronto. Our journey can be traced back to Francisco de Mello Palheta, who was sent by the King of Portugal to French Guinea to obtain coffee seeds. Despite difficulties, he managed to captivate the French Governor's wife and obtain enough coffee seeds to start the coffee industry in Brazil. In 1893, Francisco de Mello Palheta spread coffee to Kenya and Tanzania, near its original origin in Ethiopia. We are proud to be a part of his journey and continue his legacy. Our cafe is a vibrant and welcoming space where the local community gathers to enjoy great coffee and freshly baked pastries made by our expert pastry chefs.
