Cuban School of Ballet

The Cuban School of Ballet (CSB) is a comprehensive program offering ballet training for aspiring male and female dancers of all ages. Affiliated with the National Ballet of Cuba (BNC), CSB provides a combination of theoretical and practical classes that focus on the Cuban style of ballet. This style follows the classical Russian system while incorporating a unique expressive flair influenced by Latin-American cultural roots. Established in 2009 through a collaboration between Alicia Alonso, Prima Ballerina Assoluta, and Belma Gurdil-Diamante, CEO of the Canadian Ballet Youth Ensemble, CSB aims to provide exceptional and innovative training in the Cuban technique in Canada.
