Crown Verity Inc, founded in 1991 by Bill Verity, carries on a century-long tradition of the Verity family's business connection with Brantford, Ontario. The family's manufacturing enterprise began in 1892 with the Verity Plow Co, which later became affiliated with the Massey-Harris Company. Despite setbacks such as a devastating fire and the Great Depression, the company persevered and diversified its offerings to include commercial restaurant appliances. In 1991, Bill Verity launched Crown Verity, a company specializing in high-quality commercial barbecues.
