Comox Air Force Museum

The Comox Air Force Museum is dedicated to preserving and showcasing the history of military aviation on the West Coast of Canada. It features a main gallery, aviation art gallery, aviation reference library, and a Heritage Air Park with eleven static aircraft on display. The museum is also involved in the restoration of a Mark IX Spitfire in partnership with Vintage Wings of Canada. Visitors can request a tour of this restoration project and explore the gift shop for aviation souvenirs and memorabilia. The museum originated as an extension of the Canadian Air Force's "Air Force Indoctrination Course" and has grown into a collection that officially opened in September 1987. It focuses on exhibiting the Air Force history and heritage of the West Coast of Canada, with a special emphasis on CFB Comox, its squadrons, and units. Admission to the museum is by donation.
