Commons Studio and Lighthouse Equipment

Commons Studio and Lighthouse Equipment is a project that aims to create a culture of cinema within the Waterloo region. We provide access to a large inventory of film-making equipment for members to use, as well as a studio space with editing suites and support for film editing. We also offer workshops and skills sharing sessions on film-making, and share information on casting calls and local events. Additionally, we make professional quality films with a social purpose, utilizing the skills and resources of our staff and members. We also organize community film screenings and discussions. We welcome your participation in helping us foster a love for cinema in our community.
