Cineworks Annex

The Cineworks Annex is an open studio space located in the Railtown area of Vancouver. It focuses on analogue filmmaking, including optical printing, film processing/printing, animation, installation, exhibition, and mixed media. Cineworks Independent Filmmakers Society, a non-profit organization and film production center, supports independent filmmakers and media artists through various initiatives that promote dialogue and experimentation with cinematic practices. With over 200 active members, Cineworks provides facilities for the production of independent, non-sponsored films and assists in their distribution and exhibition, benefiting the community both educationally and culturally. Additionally, Cineworks facilitates public participation in the development of Canadian cultural policy through discussions, research, and submissions.
