Centre For Indigenous Studies

The Centre for Indigenous Studies (CIS) is a place where teaching, research, and community collaborations come together. It serves as a platform for the University and the wider community to learn about Indigenous issues and engage in research through the Indigenous Studies Program. This program focuses on the interdisciplinary study and research of Indigenous peoples in Canada and globally, offering undergraduate degrees in Specialist, Major, and Minor programs. CIS is an academic department that provides Indigenous Studies degrees to students at the University of Toronto.
