Caversham Booksellers

Caversham Booksellers is an independent bookshop specializing in mental health literature. It was founded in 1989 by Dr. Christine Dunbar and Peter Heyworth. The idea for the bookstore came about when Dr. Dunbar visited New York and purchased a large number of books that were not available in Toronto. They enlisted Joe Adelaars, who was working at the University of Toronto Bookstores, as their manager. Over the past twenty years, Caversham Booksellers has become one of the few specialized bookstores in the field of psychology and mental health. They offer a wide range of books, CDs, and DVDs on topics such as psychology, psychotherapy, psychiatry, and more. Caversham Booksellers can be visited in-store, online, or at various workshops and conferences. They are dedicated to providing resources and support in the field of mental health since their establishment in 1989.
