This page is dedicated to honoring the service of the Canadian Airborne Forces since their establishment in 1942. It highlights the various formations that have contributed to the airborne tradition, including the 1st Canadian Parachute Battalion, the joint American-Canadian "First Special Service Force," the SAS Company, the "Defence of Canada Force," the "Mobile Strike Force," and the Canadian Airborne Regiment. Despite the disbandment of the Canadian Airborne Regiment in 1995, the page also recognizes the current airborne capability within the Canadian Special Operations Regiment and Joint Task Force 2. The mission of the page is twofold: to raise awareness of the proud history of Canada's Airborne forces and to advocate for the (re)formation of dedicated Canadian Airborne units or formations, potentially including a new Canadian Airborne Brigade. The founder, Robert O'Gorman, is actively working towards this goal.
