The Canadian Film Centre (CFC) established the CFC Media Lab to support the growth of the digital media industry and foster talent, projects, and companies in this sector. The CFC Media Lab has responded to this challenge by broadening the talent pool in digital media, accelerating the commercialization of projects and companies, and producing innovative digital media productions. Since its inception in 1997, the CFC Media Lab has graduated over 200 professionals and developed more than 100 interactive new media content products. The lab has a track record of successful collaboration and is currently working on new initiatives to be launched in 2012. The CFC is dedicated to promoting Canada's creative ideas and voices in film, television, and new media to the world.
