The Ninjutsu Club at the University of Guelph offers traditional martial arts classes for adults who want to learn physical and mental self-defense. Led by experienced instructors, the club focuses on teaching principles such as focus, balance, and precision rather than relying on strength or violence. Through challenging workouts, participants learn self-defense techniques against multiple opponents, with and without weapons, as well as skills in sword and staff proficiency, ground combat, stress management, and escape tactics. The club provides a comprehensive self-defense education, a fulfilling physical workout, and valuable life lessons. Located in the Combatives Room of the Athletics Centre, the club offers a minimum of 6 hours of instructed classes per week, with additional training times available.
