Brain Tumour Walk London is an annual event that aims to raise awareness and funds for brain tumour research, support, education, and information. Brain tumours are more common than most people realize, with 27 Canadians being diagnosed every day. These survivors come from all backgrounds and age groups, from children to seniors. Each person affected by this disease has a unique story and deserves support on their journey.
The first Spring Sprint, now known as Brain Tumour Walk, was held in London, Ontario in 1994 with over 80 participants. Over the years, the event has grown significantly, with more than 4,400 people participating in 2010. The goal of the 2011 campaign was to raise $1.5 million, which was successfully achieved.
In 2012, the Brain Tumour Foundation of Canada celebrated its 30th anniversary, reflecting on the past and looking forward to a future of hope and support for brain tumour patients. Your support is crucial in helping us reach our goals, so we invite you to join us this year for the London Spring Sprint on Sunday, June 12, 2016, at Victoria Park in London, ON. The event offers a 2.5km or 5km walk/fun run, with registration starting at 8:30am.
Together, we can make a difference in the lives of those affected by brain tumours. Join us in supporting this important cause!
