Art Actuel 2-22

Located in the Quartier des Spectacles in Montreal, the 2-22 building houses three organizations working in the field of contemporary art. On the third floor, visitors are invited to visit Artexte, a research and documentation center that also offers a brand new exhibition program. Artexte's website is http://artexte.ca/. Format, a brand new specialized bookstore in the field of arts, also occupies the third floor. The bookstore is managed by the Regroupement des centres d'artistes autogérés du Québec (RCAAQ), whose administrative offices are also located in the 2-22 building. On the fourth floor, Vox, the center for contemporary image, invites visitors to discover its new exhibition space. The center will simultaneously present exhibitions, screenings, experiments, and conferences. Vox's website is http://www.centrevox.ca/. Art Actuel 2-22 aims to enhance understanding and appreciation of contemporary art. It also seeks to promote the entire visual art offerings in the Quartier des Spectacles.
