Almex Group is a leading provider of advanced conveyor belt repair tools and equipment. With over 50 years of experience, Almex offers a full range of vulcanizers and presses for splicing all types of belting, as well as stationary presses for fabricating flat and profile conveyor belting.
One of Almex's recent innovations is the UBR press, which features High Tensile Restraints (HTR) to replace heavy pressure bolts. This lighter and stronger system improves efficiency and safety. Additionally, Almex offers a comprehensive line of BAT tools and accessories for black belt, which are faster, safer, and competitively priced.
Almex also provides certified splice training, expert hot splice troubleshooting, and splice consulting through Almex Institute. Their Fusion Systems division offers splicing tools and repair materials to complement their conveyor belt vulcanizers. This includes pulley lagging, CeraTex ceramic lagging, hot and cold bond splicing cements, repair materials, and a wide selection of hand and power tools.
In addition to their equipment and tools, Almex has developed a ruggedized Android tablet computer called the ALMEXPAD. This innovative device aims to revolutionize machine-to-machine capabilities in the conveyor belt industry, particularly in the mining sector. The ALMEXPAD Senior version utilizes wireless technologies such as WiFi, GSM, GPS, and Bluetooth to optimize processes related to splicing conveyor belts and surveying conveyor systems. Future versions will incorporate RFID functionality.
The ALMEXPAD controls Almex's new line of vulcanizing equipment through the Vulcanizer Switch Gear Control Box – SG1. This control box communicates with the ALMEXPAD via Splice Monitor software, using WiFi or USB connections. Wireless Air Bag Pressure Sensors also communicate with the ALMEXPAD via the SG1. The tablet can send reports directly to supervisors or customers upon completion of a splice.
Furthermore, the ALMEXPAD can be used in conjunction with BeltGard, a steel cord conveyor belt scanning system, either through WiFi or an Ethernet cross-over cable. This patented technology can be permanently installed for belt degradation or failure detection, or used for immediate Quality Control verification after a splice.
Almex's commitment to providing cutting-edge solutions has earned them the trust and reliance of customers worldwide. They continue to advance industry control and monitoring systems, constantly releasing new products to meet the needs of their expanding customer base.
