We are doing business with African artisans across various African countries. Our goal is to help them by promoting their work in Canada. We believe that fair trade represents a partnership with individuals who, like us, want to provide for their families. In our shop, we sell a variety of handmade products such as paintings, decorative items, jewelry, clothing, summer sandals, and African fabric known as "loincloth." The African peasant artists we work with rely on the success of our business to ensure a steady income. By supporting us, you are helping 10-15 African families each year meet their essential nutritional needs. Africa is a region where many children, women, elderly, and young people cannot afford a $1 meal per week due to lack of employment and resources. We aim to set an example and inspire others to take initiative. While we alone cannot change the situation in Africa, we are doing our part. By prioritizing small producers in African countries, fair trade ensures that the purchase price of a product guarantees producers a fair income to meet their basic needs.
